Performance tap wrench for mounting tools with a square shank in accordance with DIN 10 with reinforced body and knurled handles for high loads.

Pinpoint accuracy

  • Precision-eroded, hardened clamping jaws with built-in guide groove.

  • As a result of the eroding process, only minimal radii are created at the internal and external corners.

  • The movable jaws are secured to the handle by a split pin.

  • Thanks to this innovative type of fastening, a loosening of the thread screw connections is prevented.

Convenient operation

  • Handles with a fine cross knurling ensure safe work even under a high degree of contamination.

  • When used in confined spaces, a handle can be unscrewed easily.

Safe work even using high forces

  • Offers very high load-bearing capacity compared to standard models.

  • Black coated handles made of steel and powder-coated tap wrench body make for a high level of resistance.

Application area

Adjustable tap wrench for mounting hand tools with a square shank in accordance with DIN 10, such as hand taps, reamers or screw extractors.

Instructions

When clamping hand taps, please note the following:

  • Turn the handle to release the movable jaw.

  • Place the square shank of the hand tap in the resulting gap.

  • Turn the handle again to secure the hand tap between the clamping jaws.

  • When clamped in this way, the tool is suitable for cutting threads by hand.

  • First drill a tapping hole into the workpiece.

  • Apply suitable cutting fluid and lubricant to the hand tap.

  • Place the hand tap perpendicular to the workpiece.

  • Use the 2 handles to apply a high level of force when cutting threads.

  • When cutting threads manually, it is important to ensure that the drill bit is turned back at regular intervals, in order to break the swarf created.
